Our members range from working professionals to artists making their first record, and no one pays to be part of it. The group is free to join, but the work is not free to make. That's where you come in.

Tuition-free isn't the finish line. Kaboom is building toward a model where studio members are paid for their work and hold rights to what they help create, earning real royalties and building professional portfolios from day one. Public arts funding is shrinking. We intend to be the counterforce.

When you give monthly, you help us plan ahead: booking stages, hiring artists, and giving students real-world creative experiences that take time and vision to build. It's hassle-free. Your gift renews automatically, and you can change or cancel it any time.

Why join? Three reasons:

Monthly money is the only money we can plan with.

A one-time gift funds what's in front of us. A recurring gift funds what's next. When we know what's arriving every month, we can commit to a film score that takes a year, hold a studio date eight months out, and say yes to an artist before the money is in hand. Nothing else in our funding lets us do that.

Ten of you cover an artist's entire year.

A year at Kaboom is worth $1,295 per member, and we charge nothing for it. At $10 a month, ten Club Kaboom members fund one artist's full year: studio access, mentorship, production credits, the whole thing. Your $120 isn't disappearing into a budget line. It's a tenth of a specific person's shot.

You're in the room all year, not just on the day you give.

Members hear demos before they're released, get first dibs on tickets, get pulled into sessions, and get handwritten notes from the musicians they're funding. A one-time gift ends with a thank-you. Membership keeps going.

Giving FAQs

  • Straight into the work: studio recordings, live performances, multimedia productions, artist stipends, instruments and gear, and the mentorship that happens when 50 working professionals sit down next to a 19-year-old.

  • Yes. Kaboom Collective, dba Kaboom Studio Orchestra, is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. You'll get a receipt by email immediately and an annual summary each January.

  • Club Kaboom is monthly membership: $10 a month, cancel any time, with perks and insider access. Sponsor the Spark is a named gift attached to a specific artist or section, and it comes with a direct connection to the person you're supporting. Plenty of people do both.

  • Any time, with no awkward phone call. Email hello@kaboomstudioorchestra.org and we’ll handle it.

  • We'll walk you through the roster and match you with an artist whose work you'll want to follow. If there's a section or an instrument you feel strongly about, tell us and we'll make it work.

  • Yes, and it's a good fit if you want visibility with Cleveland's creative community. Corporate sponsorships include production credits, event presence, and recognition across releases. Email hosanna@kaboomcollective.org.

  • We don't rehearse for recitals or concerts. We produce for release. Every project is a real, commercially distributed piece of work: an album, a film, a broadcast. Students are involved at every stage, from orchestration to branding to the final master. It's the only program of its kind.

  • High schoolers, college students, emerging professionals, seasoned pros, and alumni, working side by side across music, film, animation, and engineering. All ages, all media.
