Your support fuels Kaboom Collective’s community of artists, musicians, and creators of all ages.

Every gift helps us create self-produced, bold, cross-media projects, build space for lifelong learning, and empower artists to collaborate in ways traditional orchestras don’t.

Together, we’re building a creative future without limits.

Our MISSION

Kaboom Studio Orchestra is a launchpad for the next generation of artists.

Through the production of orchestral scores, animated films, live shows, studio albums, and more, members create original, commercially released work.

Collaborating directly with industry professionals, they build polished portfolios, access untapped corners of the creative industries, and gain real-world experience that drives their careers forward.

Rooted in equity and inclusion, Kaboom breaks down barriers—cultural, financial, and institutional—to open the arts to everyone.

Orchestra rehearsing on stage with musicians playing violins, cellos, and other string instruments, in a venue with brick walls and decorative white geometric panels.
A young person wearing glasses, headphones, a plaid sweater, and khaki pants sitting on a chair, holding a pen and looking at a music stand. An older woman with curly hair and glasses is standing next to them, pointing at the sheet music on the stand. The person has a shiny brass tuba next to them and a music studio background.

While the annual tuition value is $1,295 per studio member, we offer this experience free of charge to all post–high school participants. Your support helps us keep these opportunities accessible, removing financial barriers so that young artists can focus on their growth, performance, and creative future.

The impact is already clear: Since 2020, more than 250 studio members have thrived at Kaboom, thanks to donor support, gaining hands-on experience, building professional portfolios, and stepping into paid creative roles. Our alumni are securing internships, studio placements, and freelance contracts all over the United States.

Kaboom’s vision is bold: we want to make Kaboom not only completely tuition-free for every studio member, but a paid opportunity for all participants. In a time when public arts funding is dwindling, we aim to be a counterforce, one that empowers artists, fuels Cleveland’s creative economy, and builds sustainable, diverse professional pipelines into the arts.

With your help, we can get there.

By donating to Kaboom, you’re investing in Cleveland’s young artists, its creative workforce, and a thriving artistic future. Your support removes barriers, creates careers, and changes lives. That impact starts with you.

“I watched our whole group grow musically throughout the tour. The difference between our first show at the Rock Hall and our final show at Fountain Point was incredible. Personally, I learned to manage my anxieties and felt myself relax more each day. Now that I’m home, I really miss it. This experience changed me.” - Studio Orchestra Member

Giving FAQs

  • Kaboom isn’t a traditional orchestra or youth program. We are an all-ages, all-media collective where artists learn from each other by making work together. Your support helps us create projects that cross boundaries—combining music, film, storytelling, and more—while fostering a creative community built on collaboration, experimentation, and lifelong learning.

  • Every donation directly supports the artists, productions, and collaborations that make Kaboom thrive. This includes funding studio recordings, live performances, multimedia projects, artist stipends, and the mentorship that happens when artists of all ages work side by side.

  • Kaboom Collective breaks the mold. We’re not limited by age, genre, or tradition. Our community of artists takes on projects that typical orchestras don’t—from scoring films to producing albums to creating immersive experiences—while fostering an environment where lifelong learners and professionals collaborate, mentor, and create together.
