Kaboom Collective Releases 2024 Report to our Ka-mmunity Annual Report

Dear Ka-mmunity,

As we reflect on this past year at Kaboom Collective, we are filled with immense pride in the remarkable strides we’ve made together. Our growth has been nothing short of extraordinary, and it’s all thanks to the passion, talent, and dedication of our students, instructors, and supporters.

This year, we expanded our reach beyond Ohio, bringing our first-ever Sound Sessions experience to students in Wisconsin. This out-of-state endeavor marked a significant milestone for Kaboom Collective, demonstrating our ability to inspire and empower young artists across state lines. Our commitment to providing transformative learning experiences has never been stronger.

We’ve also reimagined our tuition structure to create more accessible pathways for students. High school students now participate on a tuition basis, while post-high school students are supported by generous donations from our community of supporters. This change ensures that every artist—regardless of financial background—has the opportunity to immerse themselves in Kaboom’s industry-focused programming.

Students continue to collaborate with industry professionals, developing skills that prepare them for future careers in animation, storytelling, and visual arts.

One of our proudest moments this year was our collaboration with Mourning [A] BLKstar. This project showcased everything that makes Kaboom Collective special—a live performance, a live album recording (set to be released soon on digital and vinyl), a short documentary, and a music video capturing the transformative journey of our student musicians.

These productions are entirely student-led, guided by the mentorship of seasoned experts in the field. It’s this hands-on, real-world approach that sets Kaboom apart, and we’re thrilled to be able to share this experience with our community.

At Kaboom Collective, our mission is clear: to help students discover their unique place in the music, arts, and entertainment industries. We believe in the power of exploration—that by trying, doing, and creating, students can unlock their potential and imagine new possibilities for their future.
